The Living Church of God

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." - Mark 16:15

The Living Church of God proclaims to the world the good news of Jesus Christ’s coming Kingdom (Matthew 24:14; Mark 16:15), and blows a bold “warning trumpet” of God’s impending judgment, calling for repentance and spiritual change (Matthew 24:21; Isaiah 58:1; Ezekiel 33). We strive to practice original Christianity as taught and practiced by Jesus Christ and the original Apostles, including observance of the seventh-day Sabbath and annual Holy Days. Church members view themselves as the spiritual heirs of the original Jerusalem Church of New Testament time.

We produce the award-winning weekly Tomorrow's World telecast, sounding this warning trumpet to hundreds of millions of homes around the world. Along with English-language broadcasts (by Gerald Weston and fellow evangelist Richard Ames, and pastors Wallace Smith and Rod McNair), similar programs are produced in French and Spanish under the direction of regional pastor Mario Hernandez. The telecast also airs in Russian, German and other languages in translation on satellites across the globe, and is available via cable and the Internet.

The Church also publishes Tomorrow's World magazine—a full-color magazine sent to about 275,000 subscribers—containing articles on Bible prophecy, current events and Christian living. Our Tomorrow's World Presents series invites subscribers to exciting seminars on biblical and prophetic subjects in cities across the United States and Canada and around the world.

The Living Church of God is active in North and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australasia. We have more than 200 ministers serving over 350 congregations around the globe.

Dr. Roderick C. Meredith served as the first Presiding Evangelist for Living Church of God. He was one of the original evangelists ordained by the late Herbert W. Armstrong in December 1952. For more than 64 years, Dr. Meredith powerfully proclaimed the truth of God to millions through his hundreds of television programs, booklets and magazine articles, and personal evangelistic campaigns throughout the United States, Canada, and the British Isles. In 2016, after consultation with the Council of Elders, many friends and fellow ministers, Dr. Meredith appointed Evangelist Gerald Weston as his successor and as president of the Living Church of God.

Mr. Weston was ordained a minister of Jesus Christ in 1971 and has served congregations throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He has been a frequent writer for the Church’s publications, has trained many ministers over the years, and has been a long time member of the Church’s Council of Elders. Upon Dr. Meredith’s death in May 2017, Mr. Weston became the Presiding Evangelist of the Living Church of God, and with the support of many faithful brethren and ministers, he continues in Jesus Christ’s command to preach the good news of the coming Kingdom of God and to blow the warning trumpet of repentance and spiritual change – to people all around the world, so that many may be moved and convicted by the word of God.

Our position on hate speech

Hate and violence are sins.
In modern times, the internet “blogs” and social media services, are too often platforms where hate speech is promulgated. The Living Church of God rejects and denounces violent speech, hate speech and the hatred from which they arise, particularly on our social media. Mr. Gerald Weston wrote, “We believe love and deep respect should be shown to people of all ethnicities (Romans 13:10)” and teach that “From a biblical perspective, any form of hatred toward other human beings is sin!” (“Sins of Racism, Anarchy and Secularism!”). Therefore, hate speech and violent speech on our social media will not be tolerated and will be deleted.

Vision Statement
Zealously and with wisdom (Matt 10:16) preach the true Gospel through any reasonable means available (Acts 17:16-32) to every Canadian (Mark 16:15) as a witness (Matt 24:14) by building relationships that will lead to discipleship (Matt 28:19, Mark 1:17) for any whom God may be calling (John 6:44, 65).
